November 2008: 2008 International Coaching Federation Annual ConferenceInternatioanl Coaching Federation

Wisdom Works will be a featured speaker at the upcoming 2008 ICF Annual Conference in Montreal, Quebec, November 12-15. This year’s conference theme is Knowledge, Diversity & Community. Wisdom Works’ CEO Renee Moorefield & Senior VP of Global Research & Development at The Coca-Cola Company, Bilal Kaafarani, will co-present a session titled, The Healthy Executive, The Healthy Team. This interactive session will share the experience of a year-long project to build a healthy, high-performing executive team to lead the Global Research & Development function for The Coca-Cola Company worldwide. Naropa University, Authentic LeadershipMay 2008: Nikki Carpenter, Wisdom Works practitioner, along with colleagues , Susan Skjei, and Mark Wilding will be teaching the Coaching for Authentic Leadership Certificate Program at Naropa University this Spring. This course's primary focus will be on teaching the employment of meditation and authentic leadership principles to professional coaches and leaders for use in their own coaching practices.

March 11, 2008: Renee Moorefield will be the keynote speaker for our 2007-2008 Centura Health Centura Health, Transformative Coaching ProgramTransformational Coaching Project, discussing how to direct coaching toward the health, well-being and sustainability of people and organizations.

Mildred G. Arnold Foundation, Women of the YearJanuary 2008: Micki McMillan will be volunteering her time throughout 2008 to provide facilitator training for the Mildred Arnold G. Foundation via Women of the Year. This Larimer County, Colorado non-profit organization devotes itself to mentoring and empowering diverse multi-generational women. Micki will be participating in the program from January to November of 2008.

November 1: Wisdom Works co-sponsored a special invitation only event along with the Women's Vision Women's Vision FoundationFoundation, called CultureShift - What Is the Future of Leadership and How Can We As Leaders Help Shape It? This event was specifically for senior executives and leaders who underwent discovery of new personal and strategic perspectives of leadership. We heard from a senior executive from The Coca Cola Company what they have done to commit to advancing new leadership thinking and behaviors that serve both the individual and the broader organization. Renee Moorefield keynote speaker at the Hellenic Advertisers Association's June 20: Wisdom Works CEO Renee Moorefield was a keynote speaker at the Hellenic Advertisers Association’s Corporate Social Achievement Awards Conference held in Greece. Renee's keynote addressed The Evolution of the Worldcentric Leader: Creating a Culture of Vision, Collaboration and Sustainability.

During this keynote, Renee Moorefield, PhD, described the evolution of worldcentric leadership based on her experience. Attendees learned about the eight strengths of worldcentric leaders who successfully respond to the emerging demands of employees, business partners and consumers to affiliate with conscientious, socially-responsible companies and hear about leaders who use their organizations to leave a hopeful legacy which benefits the planet. During her presentation Renee asked: What does worldcentric leadership mean for me and my company today?

August 4: Wisdom Works Partner Micki McMillan joined a panel concerning Implementing CSR Strategy Globally: A Research and Practice Dialogue. This panel-led discussion was a part of the 2007 Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management: Doing Well By Doing Good, August 3-8 in Philadelphia, PA.
